The theme for GeoCalgary 2022 is Reflection on Resources. The prosperity of Canada is largely founded on the extraction, transformation and utilization of resources from several sources, such as agriculture, oil and gas, metals and minerals, hydropower and wind energy. Those activities all require infrastructure, facilities, plants, dams or dykes; the design and construction of which necessitate solving great geotechnical challenges. The conference intends to focus on past and recent geotechnical achievements, and the lessons that can be learned from them to improve current practices and build a better sustainable future. The technical program will encompass a wide range of topics, including specialty sessions that are of local and national relevance.
We anticipate that a draft conference program will be available for viewing in the spring of 2022.
In addition to the technical program and plenary sessions, the conference will include distinguished keynote speakers. More details will be available soon.
